Sharing Stories
Since 2017, the Palisades Podcast has been sharing stories about the lives of people who live and work in Pacific Palisades. Once a month, the hosts, Maryam Zar and Steve Cron, interview creative, dynamic people in order to let fellow residents learn more about the backgrounds, goals, and accomplishments of their fellow citizens. we have interviewed a wide variety of people, including elected officials, and leaders in the fields of entertainment, business, science, community service, and so much more. We hope that by hearing about the accomplishments of other Palisadians, our residents will be inspired and proud of the many unique, talented, and accomplished people who live amongst us.

Maryam Zar
Maryam has served this community in the capacities of Founding Chair of the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness, Educational rep, Vice President and President of the Pacific Palisades Community Council, Chair of the Paul Revere Middle School parent board of PRIDE, Vice President of the Pacific Palisades Design review Board, President of the Pacific Palisades YMCA board, member of the Park Advisory Board, as well as City Commissioner on the Commission on the Status of Women and Chair of the Westside Regional Alliance of Councils.
She partnered with Steve Cron to co-host the Palisades Podcast after he launched it a year earlier with his original co-host, Brook Daugherty. Maryam was the podcast’s second guest, when it first launched.

Steve Cron
Steve is a renowned West LA criminal defense attorney, and a life long Democrat. He serves as the current Chair of the Pacific Palisades Democratic Club as well as the Area 2 (Highlands) elected representative to the Pacific Palisades Community Council.
Steve has been instrumental in addressing many of the issues that impact the Palisades, including mitigating the fire risk in our community as well as homelessness and protecting our beaches. He is often referred to endearingly by those who know him as the Joe Biden of Pacific Palisades.
